Why I Have Been Silent

Submitted on Mar 11, 2015 by  boseolotu

I am sorry for the long silence from my end here. I also want to apologise to my fellow bloggers.

I love to say a big thank you to The Well Project for giving me a great opportunity to work with you and also as a member of CAB. It has been a great honor and privilege to be part of the blog and thank you for building my capacity in the area of advocacy.

Words can not express how much you have impacted me. I am very grateful and encouraged. The mobile application of TWP has really helped in broadening my knowledge and capacity on new and updated information on HIV/AIDS related diseases and also on advocacy. It has impacted and improved my skills in working with the community and stakeholders because with the cell phone and application on it I am ready to go... I don't want to share sad stories with you all, but I wanted to at least share about something good happening around me.

To my fellow bloggers, I am so sorry for my long silence on our blog A Girl Like Me. I am so overwhelmed with lot of things happening around me that most time I have thought of things to share on the blog, but my mind is in a million places at a time. Most times I am thinking and also feel my brain is dead to too much of thinking because there is a lot of issues around me. My elder brother who is also a PLWHA has been very sick for some time now, he is having kidney renal failure and in December last year we were told to start looking for funds for a dialyses or a replacement. All this, and much more made my mind and brain blank. in fact most of the time I feel lost in this world.

Lots of Love,

Bose

It is very good to hear from you.  I miss you!  I am saddened to hear about your brother and sorry for your pain.  Dealing with the illness of a loved one, as well as our own issues, can be physically strenuous and emotionally draining.  My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.  May you find peace and comfort.  Love you very much. - Vickie

Hi Bose,

I just wanted to also comment to let you know how much your words about The Well Project are appreciated, and that we are always here to support you. We hope your brother can pull through this, and get better. I know it has been a difficult time for you and your family, but you have love pouring in from all the world and sending you a big hug to help bring you some comfort during the darker days. We love you! Krista

Thank you all for your encouragement and supports. I am glad that I am a family of TWP.

And my brother is saying a big thank you to you all. I spoke with him this morning, one of our big cousin from our mother family sent us some fund so he can receive his treatment for this week. Thanks Again.
