I must be honest, it’s been 26 years since high school and boy it’s been hard. Essays today are nothing like essays back when I went to school. We didn’t learn pathos, logos, ethos. We didn’t need to know how to format a word document, we didn’t do work cited pages, or detailed outlines, and don’t even get me started on the power point presentation I have to learn how to do. See, my fellow students are all right out of high school, and they know how to do all these things. Back in my day, we with our names in the right-hand corner and attached a simple bibliography that included for sure an encyclopedia.
I have 100% attendance and haven’t been late once. Every morning I get 3 kids off to school, and every night I make sure dinner is prepared, and the kid’s homework is done. I don’t do laundry for 1, I do laundry for 4! And then there are the choir performances and parent-teacher conferences and just imagine adding into that mix a child with special needs. It’s a lot!! Please, if you are young and there is any possible way to go to school, do it now. Do NOT wait until you're 44. If you're older and have the opportunity to go to school, suck it up, you can do it.
SO, with all that being said!!! I’m so excited that I got an A on my very first college essay!!!! (Happy Dance) That’s right! I’ve learned how to format my papers, learned modern research techniques, how to properly include a works cited page, and how to create a detailed outline. Man, I’ve worked so hard, and I’ve learned so much. I may have shed some tears, and I do believe there were some creative swear word combinations, but I did it!!!
That is so AWESOME, proud of
That is so AWESOME, proud of you. The power we have in side is there, we just have to decide to do use it!! My favorite saying now is, I'm stronger than I think." Look at us being strong!!!
