Board Member

Allison Agwu, MD, ScM is Professor of Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.

Board Vice Chair

Judith Auerbach is a public sociologist, independent science and policy consultant, and professor in the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Founder and Board Member

Dawn Averitt is the Founder and Emeritus Board Member of The Well Project, a non-profit organization formed in 2002.

Co-Founder and Board Member

Richard Averitt joined The Well Project in early 2002 to help his sister, Dawn, evolve the vision of The Well Project into a sustainable public service organization.

Board Secretary

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Abby Charles joined The Well Project Board of Directors in the Spring of 2012.

Board Treasurer

Vignetta Charles, PhD, is Chief Executive Officer at ETR. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Dr. Charles was Chief Science Officer at ETR, focused on unifying and translating ETR's science-based approaches to training and research.

Board Member

Jen Kates is vice president and director of global health and HIV Policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation, where she oversees the Foundation's policy analysis and research focused on the U.S. government's role in global health and on the global and domestic HIV epidemics.

Board Member

Aryah Lester, a nationally awarded author, model, speaker, and educator, is a black woman of transgender experience from New York living in the Washington DC area.

Emerita Board Member

Kim specializes in international business law, such as mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance, and advising nonprofit organizations.

Board Chair

Linda H. Scruggs, a highly respected figure in the field of HIV advocacy and education, has devoted over three decades to championing the rights and well-being of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
