A Girl Like Me (AGLM), a program of The Well Project, is a blog where women ( cis and trans ) can share their experiences and promote understanding of HIV. Millions of women around the globe are living with HIV, yet many feel they are alone in their disease and isolated in their day-to-day experiences. The goals of AGLM are to help normalize HIV; and to create a safe space for women living with HIV from around the world to speak out and share their experiences – with each other, and with those seeking a support community.

Respectfully that ship has sailed. I've fought something bigger in the last 2+ years and found something even greater within myself. I don't like for people to whisper "HIV" to me- nah... say it with your chest. It's not a...

Have you ever had a bone for science? I used to when I was growing up. I remember I used to want to be a scientist, I had so many questions about so many things and I wanted to know...

Have you ever heard a doctor, advocate or friend say "you probably know someone living with HIV and you just don't know it"? People hiding in plain sight. I've said that to people. It's a way to get them to...

Okay so obviously my title is just a joke, more so to grasp your attention, because sheesh! Science is no joke and I have truly gained a new perspective of the world we know as HIV. When I applied to...

When friends whom I trusted stabbed me in the back; the friends whom I call my own started to distance away just because I didn't have money in my pockets; the friends whom I loved as "friends" took advantage of...
