It's been a long time since I've had the time to send something in. I've been working and volunteering a lot the past few years. I get fatigued a lot, but I push myself. I have two peer worker positions, one at Planned Parenthood working with people who are of unknown or negative status and the other at the clinic where I receive my primary care working with clients who have medication adherence challenges. Twenty years ago Mom was preparing to get me into hospice care cause we all thought I was going to die from AIDS complications. Well I pulled through and now feeling good and doing so much better, except I'm always tired. I was blessed to see my son turn into an adult and an amazing person. I've given back in many ways by all of the education, advocacy and other volunteer work I do. So grateful to still be here, it's truly been quite a bittersweet journey. Peace and love to you all.

My name is Nancy Duncan. I'm 57 years young and I was born and raised and still live on Long Island, NY. My son Jason, now 35 has been my inspiration to survive living with HIV and an AIDS diagnosis going on 30 years now. He was only 10 when I found out.
