For me, Pride month began with a vibrant show led by Korea's pioneering drag artist, Hurricane Kimchi. Through music and performance, artists reminded us of the importance of being yourself and loving who you are.

I share the hardship, my HIV diagnosis, the moments of darkness, the joy of sharing my status, and the victory of choosing life.

Vivo aterrorizada todos los días porque mi comunidad, la comunidad transgénero, está siendo demonizada y atacada por el gobierno que se supone debe protegernos y por la comunidad cristiana que se supone debe amarnos.

I live in terror every day because my community, the transgender community, is being demonized and attacked by the government meant to protect us and the Christian community meant to love us.

If you truly hear my message, please share it, find any way you can to resist and fight back, fight for me, because when they're done with me and my community, they'll come for you and yours.
