A Girl Like Me (AGLM), a program of The Well Project, is a blog where women across the gender spectrum can share their experiences and promote understanding of HIV. Millions of women around the globe are living with HIV, yet many feel they are alone in their disease and isolated in their day-to-day experiences. The goals of AGLM are to help normalize HIV; and to create a safe space for women living with HIV from around the world to speak out and share their experiences – with each other, and with those seeking a support community.

I practice getting in my own way like it's an artform. Sometimes, when things seem to be going really smoothly, I experience this sense of uneasiness like I'm waiting for the next trauma to unravel in front of me like a red carpet.

This weekend I was invited by Brandon O'Dell, director of the Amsterdam Dinner Foundation to celebrate 30 (!) years of support to the HIV community.

I haven't written in what feels like an eternity; not even sure I've written something that's been publicly shared at all in 2022...

The Well Project is infuriated and devastated by the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, which has provided constitutional protection for abortion rights for nearly 50 years.

Tip: Can't nobody take your voice. It's yours. I mean, people always have the choice of ignoring you. But that doesn't mean shut up.

The pain in her eyes, the love in her smile. She makes a room move, her energy is just that smooth. She has gave till she can't give, she has loved till she wants to stop, but that is not optional.

Hello blog world, it's been a while. I've missed you guys. Sometimes I don't know the words to say so I don't write anything down.

My lovely people, have I already told you how glad I am to be open about my status? I get to know more and more fabulous people in our HIV community wherever I go.

On Sunday May 15th I had the absolute pleasure of being able to attend the first in-person AIDS Walk in New York City since Covid first began. I'm so glad it's back.

In acknowledgement of Mental Health Awareness Month in May, we have compiled selections from The Well Project's collection of resources and personal stories addressing mental health for women living with HIV.
