Growth happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the doctor's offices to help ensure women who are living with HIV have the necessary support.

*Beyond My Diagnosis - I Am U's annual event created to educate the community and empower individuals who are impacted by HIV through storytelling and impactful performances. Beyond My Diagnosis is a celebration of what our Founder, Lynette Trawick, refers to as her Rebirth Day. She celebrates the day she was diagnosed with HIV (November 18, 2008) as being birthed into a new life with a new purpose.

*Sis, Me Too! - I Am U partners with community organizations to facilitate In-Person "Girl Talk" Sessions. Each session, we discuss specific topics and resources are provided to the attendees from organizations in the area. Attendees generally come from areas that are heavily impacted by factors such as low income, addiction, incarceration, etc. Sis, Me Too is a healing sisterhood movement created to bring women together in a safe space to share stories and understand that they are not alone.
