The Well Project is excited to announce that we recently received two three-year grants through ViiV Healthcare's Positive Action Grant Program that will support a variety of our efforts.
The first grant supports The Well Project's general operations and will enable us to increase our investment in our infrastructure and the development of crucial stakeholders, including our staff, community advisory board (CAB), and board of directors. General operations funding is crucial to accommodate our growing staff and organizational needs; it enables us to sustainably grow the organization's core functions so that we can better carry out our mission and further increase our impact.
The second grant supports SHE/HER/THEY (Sexual Health Education/HIV Empowerment Resources/Treating HIV Equally), an educational outreach initiative focused on improving engagement in care, health outcomes, and well-being for women living with HIV and with reasons for prevention while promoting language justice and holistic wellness through a non-stigmatizing lens.
Initiated in 2021, SHE/HER/THEY develops and widely disseminates educational tools that center sex positivity and pleasure in the broad range of women's experiences, including and beyond an HIV diagnosis. Throughout the course of the grant, The Well Project will continue to develop a variety of educational and advocacy tools to further integrate sexual and reproductive healthcare into women's HIV care as well as normalize HIV testing and prevention into women's overall wellness.
We are deeply grateful for ViiV Healthcare's support, which bolsters on our ongoing commitment to women living with HIV and with reasons for prevention and to ultimately change the course of the HIV epidemic…one woman at a time.
