Improving Patient-Provider Communication: A Girl Like Me LIVE

Submitted on Aug 31, 2022

The patient-provider relationship is established when a provider provides for the medical needs of a patient. This dynamic can have both positive and negative effects on the person who is receiving care. Strong patient-provider relationships established on trust, shared-decision making, and effective communication can have a positive impact on people living with HIV, as these relationships often prove to have an impact on their overall health outcomes.

On Wednesday August 31, 2022, Ciarra "Ci Ci" Covin and The Well Project medical editor Theresa Mack, MD, MPH, took part in an insightful conversation on the importance of patient-provider relationships for women living with HIV, suggestions for overcoming barriers that may exist in this context, and much, much more!
