You should be eating well and taking exercise to keep you fit. For the medicines we take to work properly we need to keep our immune system healthy. We also need the right amount of vitamins and nutrients in our body as some of the medicines we take need these to be absorbed into the blood stream. We need to eat a good balanced diet, plenty of fruit and vegetables, but we also need fat, protein and carbohydrate.HIV affects our bodies in lots of ways. It can cause weight loss and make us feel tired, because it speeds up our metabolism, so we use up extra calories doing everyday tasks. Carbohydrates and fat boost our energy reserves and protein builds muscle and helps our immune system fight infections. We need to work at building our muscle and the most important bit of muscle in our bodies is our heart. All of this sounds quite complicated, but it doesn’t have to be.
Stress also seems to affect food preferences.Of course, overeating isn’t the only stress-related behavior that can add pounds. Stressed people also lose sleep, exercise less, and drink more alcohol, all of which can contribute to excess weight.
It is the practice of consuming large quantities of food – usually “comfort” or junk foods – in response to feelings instead of hunger. The comfort one finds from eating is temporary. Comfort eating does not resolve life’s issues or feelings. I found myself running to the Fridge all the time, I gained 80 pounds in six months.
I have finally lost about 65 pounds but it has not been easy. Now when I feel stressed I clean my house even if it is not dirty. Or I may go to the park and walk.
I have added more water to my daily intake I try to drink a gallon. It is good for the skin and flushes our medicine from our liver and other organs faster. Drinking more water makes you feel full. this is very good keeps you from eating way to much calories.
Cut the negative things and people away from you. When I am down I do over eat and if I have worries on my mind Knowing I can not change the situation causes me to think about eating also.
Stress is apart of life no matter how big or how small it can turn into big problems. Everyone reacts differently to stress and experiences different stressors, or things that cause stress.
Just 30 to 45 minutes of exercise three times a week can make you feel much healthier Like i said before I clean or walk. Join a gym! A massage is a great way to relax and to minimize the physical and emotional tension. Maintaining the right diet is the key to reducing stress. I have found this really does help not to mention adding extra water to keep me from overeating. Also a number of herbs and teas can have a calming effect and reduce stress-induced insomnia, anxiety or anger. Always make sure to consult your physician or other health practitioner before using any new herbs or supplements. I hope this has helped somewhat until next time Stay Well..
