For the second year running, Health Systems Trust (HST) is co-hosting an event to observe World AIDS Day with our partners entitled: Women, Girls & HIV - 10 years on.
This year marks a decade since the World AIDS Day theme was Women, Girls, HIV and AIDS.
Join leading female researchers in a robust panel discussion on the current size and shape of the HIV epidemic, why a gender-conscious response to HIV is necessary, how to reduce the burden of HIV on women and girls, and good practice models for protecting women's sexual and reproductive health rights.
The event will take place from 12h00 to 14h00 on Wednesday 26 November 2014 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's UNITE Auditorium on Howard College Campus, Glenwood, Durban.
Sibongile Shezi - KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Co-ordinator for Health Systems Trust's SA SURE project (South African Sustainable Response to HIV and AIDS) will be speaking on whether we are succeeding in women empowerment in relation to HIV and AIDS.
