In this 4th annual program to acknowledge National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify effective approaches to integrating HIV care into perinatal services for people with Substance Use Disorder.
- Describe strategies for engaging adolescents and young adults in PrEP care.
- Discuss how the HRSA-funded Sisterhood for Health Equity (SHE) Project is responsive to the stated needs of Black women with HIV.
- Describe the benefits of peer support relationships for women who are newly diagnosed with HIV.
Speakers will include Florence Momplaisir, MD; Navid Roder, MD; Nia Bhadra-Heintz, MD; Roberta Laguerre-Frederique, MD; Helena Kwakwa, MD; Kim Mclellan, CRNP; Ellen Tedaldi, MD.
Intended Audience
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, doulas, case managers, substance use and peer support specialists, and all those on the HIV care team.
