HIV Criminalization is the most extreme manifestation of HIV stigma; in this session participants will learn how successful efforts to reform HIV criminalization statutes have been led by People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and how PLHIV networks improve health outcomes, combat stigma and can have a powerful advocacy voice. 

Discussions will include how nurses and other healthcare providers can contribute to HIV Criminalization reform efforts and other collaborations to reduce HIV related stigma.

The objectives of this webinar are to: 

  • Learn how successful efforts to reform HIV criminalization statutes have been led by People Living with HIV (PLHIV)

  • Describe how PLHIV networks can improve health outcomes, combat stigma and have a powerful advocacy voice

  • Discuss how nurses and other healthcare providers can contribute to HIV criminalization reform efforts and other collaborations to reduce HIV-related stigma
