In early 2019, TAG, along with BAI and the HIV Vaccine Trials Network developed an online survey, asking for diverse community input on existing and developing biomedical prevention areas of interest. The final report– The Future of Biomedical HIV Prevention Trials: Researcher Viewpoints and Community Survey– presents, describes, and analyzes the results of this survey, providing context, and offering recommendations.
The final report can be accessed here.
On this webinar we will discuss the final report and review community advocates’ perspectives on discussions around ethical conduct of biomedical prevention trials in the era of PrEP.
Given the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and disruptions to ongoing and planned HIV vaccine and prevention trials, we will also take time on the webinar to discuss the status of key clinical trials looking at novel HIV prevention interventions and researcher plans to keep studies going in a pandemic.
