via Advocates for Youth

In honor of National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day, Advocates for Youth invites you to join us for Centering Youth: A NYHAAD Roundtable, on April 6th at 4pm ET, in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP), and Congresswoman Barbara Lee.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that 21% of new HIV diagnoses in 2019 were among young people aged 13-24 years. HIV uniquely impacts young people due to various barriers to prevention, treatment, and care. This virtual roundtable will highlight the federal government's work in centering young people impacted by and living with HIV, as well as the continued advocacy led by young people themselves.
