What a Journey

Have you ever experienced something that left you feeling and questioning, "Did that really just happen?"

Of course. I have experienced several of those moments in my lifetime, yet I don’t quite believe I was ready for such an accomplishment. Here is a bit of my backstory.

I grew up in Helena, Arkansas in a household of ten, my mom and dad and seven siblings. We are a close knit family and I love them dearly. I always knew that there was a difference in me and my siblings. That difference happened to be the fact that I am a transgender woman assigned male at birth. My transition to womanhood began 17 years ago at the age of 21. There were no more shadows to be lived in for me when I became of legal age.
