I am a 30 year long term survivor of HIV and a pontine stroke - living with AIDS and HAND. A Registered Nurse, Consultant, Author, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Professional Volunteer, Neighbor and Friend. My journey has been long, hard, funny, joyful, sorrowful and blessed. It is halfway over and yet only just begun.
Why Lynda wants to be part of A Girl Like Me: I hope that by sharing my stories of aging with HIV and living post Covid-19, I can inspire those newly diagnosed and others on long arduous journeys to live in their own truths, continue to harness courage, and ultimately, find comfort and support reading and digesting shared experiences.
