Research Description & Purpose
Researchers at Rush University Medical Center are conducting a study on attention and memory among women who are living with HIV/AIDS and have used alcohol or drugs.
Would the study be a good fit for me?
This study may be a good fit for you if you meet the following criteria:
- Are a woman age 18 to 60
- Have ever used drugs and alcohol
- Are living with HIV/AIDS
What would happen if I took part in the study?
- Brief telephone interview for general information and screening
- Two, three-hour visits to 2150 W. Harrison St., Chicago
- Questionnaires and computerized tests of memory and attention
- Questions about medical history, mood and alcohol/drug use
Study participants receive monetary compensation for time and transportation at each visit.
