Sign-On: Eliminating Stigmatizing HIV Language at NIAID

You are invited to sign on to a collaboratively generated letter to Jeanne Marrazzo, MD, MPH, Director of NIAID, requesting that the use of stigmatizing HIV language be eliminated at NIAID.

We believe that removing terms such as "HIV-infected person, people, individual(s), populations," "subjects" and "sterilization" from the HIV lexicon is long overdue.

As the major US HIV research funder, NIAID can be instrumental in stopping HIV stigmatization.
