Advocating for Women-Centered Care: Conducting Legislative Visits for Ryan White Services Webinar - June 26, 2014

via Positive Women's Network-USA

Thursday, June 26, 2014

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (EST)

There was some good news on the Ryan White Part D front last week, thanks to hard work by the AIDS Alliance for Women, Infants Children, Youth and Families and their partners.

However, the fight to maintain Ryan White services and women-centered care and services throughout all parts of the Ryan White program is far from over!

To help strengthen our collective advocacy efforts, Positive Women's Network-USA is hosting a special 90-minute webinar to share updates on Ryan White reauthorization, including an update on Ryan White Part D.  We'll also have a training on advocating with your legislators on the importance of maintaining services for women living with HIV in the context of the Affordable Care Act.

This webinar is especially timely, because Congress will be making important decisions about next year's budget over the next few weeks, and we'll need all hands on deck to ensure services are maintained, not cut!

Special guest presenters on this webinar include Donna Crews from AIDS United, and Lucy Baglin from AIDS Foundation of Chicago.
